Joining a hosted fly fishing trip with Fly Odyssey Australia is a great way to experience and fly fish a new destination with all of the guesswork and travel logistics taken care of. More importantly it gives you the opportunity to travel with a group of like-minded fly fishermen, learn from our expert hosts on the water, and enjoy the camaraderie group travel provides.
You may make life-long connections with great people, and share the fantastic memories and laughs along the way while being assured that our travel guides have everything taken care of. Our hosts are there for you first and foremost, and understand that it’s your trip that they are on and not the other way around.
We assist you with getting you to the water and home again, dealing with any travel issues or delays along the way and help your gear preparation and rigging while away. We can facilitate some early morning casting lessons, and even talk you through some of the best techniques and retrieval rates to help land that species or big fish that you may be chasing.
Our hosts also pay attention to understanding and communicating your fishing preferences and any requests, in order to match you with the best guide or to suit your ability or desired fishing location each day, and to match your goals and expectations. We want you to have a great time.
Our hosted trips are also far more cost effective than doing it on your own, as you will generally be sharing a room and guide each day. We also take particular attention to selecting the prime weeks, moon and tides for our hosted trips to ensure that you will be joining the best available. You are in good hands!
